The Deep Blue shellfish is guaranteed transported by ocean freight, which gives a reduction of CO2 emissions of 97% compeared to airfreight. The shellfish are kept in its natural enviroment, only taken out of water hours before serving.
When buying shellfish with The Deep Blue label you are ensured that all measures have been taken in order to reduce CO2 emissions. The Deep Blue label is only used on live products transported in the Aqualife system.
